Hi, I'm John Kelly, a Charlotte native & lifelong player/coach who grew up playing baseball in neighborhoods & sandlots - building natural "play reps" that carried into organized baseball. When kids have fun, they learn & play better. My baseball background: 1984 NC State Championship w/ Independence HS, multiple city/state All-Star titles, & 3-peat MSBL 45+ Fall Classic Championship (2017-2019). I offer high-energy, game-like training for players ages 8-14 focused on movement, fun, & max reps.

Your first lessonFor beginners, I start by evaluating each player in a fun, low-pressure environment to understand their athletic ability and comfort with the game. I then build a simple, personalized approach focused on fundamentals, confidence, and enjoyment through positive, game-like drills that keep learning fun while developing proper mechanics and good habits.
Lesson 2-3First lesson is evaluation and comfort-building. Lessons two and three introduce basic reps and simple drills to build fundamentals, coordination, and confidence in a fun, structured environment.
Lesson 4-10Lessons four through ten continue structured development with repetitive reps, game-like drills, and ongoing focus on fundamentals, confidence, and improvement in a fun environment.
Lesson 11+Lessons 11+ focus on position-based development and refining skills like hitting, fielding, and fly ball tracking through targeted, game-like drills that build confidence and consistency.
Youth players
Working with kidsFun, energetic, patient, and structured coaching focused on fundamentals, confidence, and baseball IQ. I use positive, game-like drills to keep players engaged while building strong habits and consistent improvement. Every lesson is tailored to the player’s age and skill level so they can grow, improve, and enjoy the game.

If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.
