About your baseball coach

I’m a former college baseball player and experienced pitching coach specializing in youth and high school pitcher development. I work with athletes ages 9–18 on mechanics, velocity, command, arm care, pitch development, and the mental side of pitching. My coaching combines individualized instruction with data and technology, including PitchLogic, to identify each pitcher’s strengths and constraints and create a clear development plan.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe start with a complete pitching assessment to establish a baseline. I evaluate movement quality, mechanics, arm action, command and current velocity. We’ll introduce simple drills based on the athlete’s individual needs and establish 1–2 key priorities to work on between lessons.
Lesson 2-3LESSONS 2–3 We begin building better movement patterns based on the initial assessment. Sessions may include connection drills, lower-half sequencing, lead-leg blocking, arm-path work and command training. We’ll reinforce what works for the individual pitcher rather than forcing every athlete into the same mechanics.
Lesson 4-10We progressively develop the complete pitcher. Training advances into velocity development, command, pitch design, game situations and individualized mechanical work. Progress is continually evaluated so drills and goals can be adjusted as the athlete improves. The goal is long-term development—not just throwing harder, but becoming a healthier, more efficient and more effective pitcher.
Lesson 11+Advanced training becomes increasingly individualized based on the pitcher’s goals and progress. We continue developing velocity, command, pitch design, mechanics and game strategy while tracking progress over time. Training evolves with the athlete to address new needs, prepare for competition and build a complete, confident pitcher.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWe begin with a comprehensive assessment of the pitcher’s current abilities, mechanics and goals. I evaluate velocity, command, movement patterns, pitch characteristics and overall efficiency. When appropriate, PitchLogic data is used to establish objective baselines and identify the highest-priority areas for development.
Lesson 2-3Training becomes highly individualized based on the assessment. We address specific mechanical constraints, sequencing, lower-half efficiency, arm action, command and pitch characteristics. Drills are selected for the individual athlete rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Lesson 4-10We progress into advanced development including velocity training, pitch design, command, movement profiles and game-specific execution. PitchLogic data may be used to measure changes in velocity, spin, movement and consistency while continuing to refine mechanics and overall efficiency.
Lesson 11+Long-term training focuses on maximizing the pitcher’s individual strengths while continuing to address limitations. We refine pitch arsenal, velocity, command, sequencing and competitive strategy while periodically reassessing progress. The goal is to develop a complete pitcher who can consistently translate training into game performance.

Youth players
Working with kidsI keep youth lessons simple, positive and engaging. We focus on athletic movement, balance, coordination, throwing fundamentals and learning how to use the entire body. I limit mechanical cues, use age-appropriate drills and prioritize confidence and a healthy relationship with throwing.

Working with teenagersWith teenage pitchers, training becomes more individualized and goal-driven. We work on mechanics, velocity development, command, pitch design and game strategy based on the athlete’s needs. I incorporate objective data when appropriate while teaching athletes to understand their own delivery and become more independent competitors.

What you need to bringPitchers should bring their glove, baseball shoes or turf shoes, comfortable athletic clothing, and water. Bring any personal arm-care equipment you regularly use. Catchers should bring their catching gear when applicable. Most importantly, come ready to work, learn, ask questions, and compete. Parents are welcome to observe and learn how they can support development outside of lessons.

What I can bringI provide baseballs, pitching and training equipment, resistance bands, arm-care tools, and various pitching development aids. When appropriate, I use PitchLogic technology to measure velocity, spin, movement, arm slot, release consistency, and other pitching metrics. Video analysis may also be incorporated to help athletes understand their movement and track progress.

Cris
My son came to him a very raw 12-year-old that threw hard, and after 5 months in the offseason left with the tools to be a pitcher
Isaac
Jordan has given him much more confidence in his abilities as a ball player by teaching him the basics first, then continuing to build on them each session
Boston
Jordan has a unique ability to connect with him and coach in a way that truly builds confidence. He breaks things down so they’re easy to understand and always meets Boston where he is. What really stands out is how much Jordan genuinely cares — not just about performance, but about Boston as a player and a kid.
Tim
We’ve seen real, measurable improvement in both his pitching and overall throwing mechanics in a short amount of time.
Jonas Fields
Jordan is excellent. He provides individualized instruction in a way that my teenage son can comprehend. Just 2 sessions with Jordan drastically improved my son’s delivery, eliminating arm pain while improving velocity.
