With 30 years in basketball, including 17 as a professional player in Europe and Israel, I am passionate about instilling a love for the game in young athletes. My coaching emphasizes fundamental skills, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for the sport. Playing internationally has given me valuable exposure to high-level basketball and diverse sporting cultures. Currently finishing my final season in Italy, I look forward to staying in the professional world by mentoring and guiding the next generation of athletes. And not just athletes — I’m here for parents who want to get their kids involved or introduced to basketball and athletic training. I’m also here for kids, teenagers, and adults of all ages. Your first lesson
Basketball Training Session 1 Introduction:
In Lesson 1, we’ll start by discussing your interests and goals. After that, we’ll focus on improving your fundamental skills, including ball-handling, shooting, agility, and defense. This first session will consist of simple individual drills that not only help you improve as players but also provide me with a visual breakdown of your strengths and weaknesses. This will allow us to build a personalized training plan moving forward. Let’s warm up, get focused, and work hard so we can leave today better than when we arrived!
Athletic Training Session 1 Introduction:
Lesson 1, we’ll begin by discussing your interests and goals. Based on your athletic history, capabilities, health, and fitness needs, we’ll create a simple plan that aligns with your objectives. Our focus will always be on building strength, agility, and flexibility to enhance overall performance. We’ll work through a variety of exercises that challenge your endurance and coordination, while also allowing me to observe your strengths and weaknesses. Push yourselves, and remember, maintaining good form is crucial to preventing injuries, so that will be a very important part in our first and future trainings. Youth players
Working with kidsMy approach to coaching youth in basketball and athletic conditioning is centered on a strong foundation of basic fundamentals. Drawing from the techniques I learned as a child and refined throughout my professional career, I emphasize the importance of mastering the core skills in basketball and overall athletic development. I recognize each student’s unique strengths and work to improve their weaknesses by providing personalized feedback and corrective guidance. My goal is to communicate each technique and exercise clearly, ensuring the students fully understand the process. By doing so, I help them not only become better athletes but also grow as young men and women, learning the values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
Working with teenagersWhen coaching teenage athletes in basketball and athletic conditioning, I’m more focused on building on a strong foundation of fundamental. While stressing the importance of acting like a professional athlete from the start. I hold athletes accountable for their training, mindset, and approach to the game, pushing them to take ownership of their growth. I work to simplify their game, helping them create consistency and mastery of key skills. For those with college aspirations, I make a clear push toward achieving that goal, guiding them on the path to success. I also help athletes identify their strengths, improve their weaknesses, and find roles that benefit both their team and their personal growth. Ultimately, I aim to instill discipline, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to pursuing their athletic and academic ambitions.
What you need to bringWater bottles, towel, proper clothing for the specific training. Most important is bringing the correct footwear for your training session.
What I can bringBasketballs, cones, pads, speed ladder. Depending on the type of training session, I will bring dumbbells, kettlebells etc… for a conditioning or athletic training session.
