Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn the first lesson we will start with basic fundamentals depending on where the child’s skill level already is. So this could consist of basic ball handling, pass accuracy, basketball terminology as well as defensive skills training.
Lesson 11+And in these lessons I like to mix all of the different skills training together
Lesson 4-10In these weeks I like to focus on basketball IQ. Offensive moves that require a play to read and react, or adjust on the fly. Decision making is a big focal point in these lessons.
Lesson 2-3In lessons 2-3 I like to focus on the child’s greatest weaknesses whatever they may be, and sharpen those specific skills. In these lesson I do like to do a lot of shooting drills just so the kids can work on muscle memory. Free throws, jump shots, floaters, both hand layouts.
