Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will go over basic knowledge and skill work to see weaknesses and strengths. Also have a conversation about goals for basketball and play style want to be achieved.
Lesson 11+Continue to give attention to detail of player existing skill set and add new material to the athlete’s arsenal wether that is IQ play reads or just skill/moves to use for the plays
Lesson 4-10Move into fine tuning strengths and begin to continue building on weaknesses
Lesson 2-3Begin to strengthen weaknesses and to understand the progression needed
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids I like to breakdown skills to simplistic form and make it fun for the child. A child learns when having fun not when feels like a drill. I engage and give lots of verbal encouragement when fail or succeed.
Working with teenagersWhen working with teenagers they require explaining and reassurance. Workouts become more lessons while staying competitive enough for them to want to feel driven to be better. Encouragement and helping teens through their frustration, guiding them to control any high emotions for the game.
What you need to bringPlease bring WATER and POSITIVE ATTITUDE; ready to learn! (Appropriate shoes if able; to help prevent ankle injuries from lack of shoe support)
What I can bringI can provide one outdoor ball, one indoor ball, and skills cones, one agility ladder, a pump if want to provide own ball.
