Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFundamentals. Dribble drills finishing layups and jumpers off the dribble/catch. A test based lesson to see where the skills are at
Lesson 11+View the players progress and advance the lesson. More high school / college level work with the details in shot alignment, movement with changing pace, sliding properly and effort on defense with the the conditioning level being worked on the improve these skills tired as well.
Lesson 4-10Pivot to the weakness. Weakness in young players are the easiest to overcome since everything is so new so this might be the majority of the game. Work on opposite hand drills and doing movement that feels “uncomfortable” to them and make it more natural with repetition
Lesson 2-3After finding key components of the players strengths, build on it. Use the players strengths to show them the advantage they have and perfect that first.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonAsk questions to see what the player feels is a weakness and work on key drills to get the player uncomfortable. Ex. If the player struggles to finish or drive with the left hand consistently I would use a cone drill to have the player driving and finishing strictly with the left hand after doing it with his right to get the same level of comfort and support with both hands.
Lesson 11+Perfect everything. Movements, pace, conditioning. All through detailed work in live action form to have the player read and react get use to making in-game decisions
Lesson 4-10Pivot a bit to live game action. Forcing the player into certain read and react scenarios and perfect the details in reading a defensive coverage and leverage.
Lesson 2-3Take a step further with the weakness essentially improving it every lesson. Add in conditioning to perform the same acts while tired Ex. Add In step backs, retreat movement, changing paces with the left hand

Youth players
Working with kidsTeach simple and work up. Always based off the kids initial skills but fundamentals perfected first, advancement 2nd.

Working with teenagersAdapt based off skill. Very detailed work and helping the small things to become more effective in the overall game.
