Beginner training plan
Your first lessonDrills that focus around dribbling, shooting, and passing. This first lesson will be for me to see how you do everything currently so I can see what we need to develop or work on. This lesson is also for me to gauge your court awareness and what rules you know how to practice already.
Lesson 11+By this point, lessons will depend on individual goals set up with the student. For example, if you are looking into integrating yourself into a specific player position or thinking of how to make yourself a better team player then we would discuss what that would look like for you. We will continue to develop our fundamentals and skills within those goals.
Lesson 4-10Students will continue to practice their shots by adding distance to their shooting comfortability. They will also begin practicing different types of dribbles that create space which will then lead us into looking into new high percentage shots.
Lesson 2-3Students should expect an introduction to different shots on the court and notes on shot form. Students will also begin dribbling drills by doing body rolls, in between the leg conditioning, and stationary dribbling drills.
What you need to bringStudents should bring a ball and their own water or snack if necessary.
