Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI approach the first lesson in understanding what the athlete needs are. I will have conversations on where they believe they are at and where they want to go. I will then explain the game plan on how I can help them achieve these goals and what are time together will consist of.
Lesson 11+When we continue to work together, the athlete will soar. They will start to breakaway and pull in front of others around them, while understanding that team work and leadership will be the only way they win games. They will want to lead from the front. Their own ability and skills will transform, and they will feel confident anytime they step on a court.
Lesson 4-10Once we start to get into a real routine I will also begin to add different skills including mindfulness. Every athlete needs to self master their own mind. I think there is never too young of an age to start understanding how much the mind will impact their ability, game, and life.
Lesson 2-3These next lessons will be where we start to implement and learn different drills, skill, and techniques. It will be hard, but that’s good. I want drills and reps that push the athlete, because then that are getting better.
