About your basketball coach

With eight years of playing experience—from youth levels to the college stage—I now focus on helping others grow through skill-based basketball training and game understanding. As a point guard and current player for KK Forza Novi Sad, I bring leadership, court vision, and deep respect for the fundamentals of the game. My training is built around: • Ball handling, shooting, and footwork • Game IQ and decision-making • Understanding the difference between 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 basketball • Developing the right mindset toward teammates, coaches, and the game itself Many players grow up playing 3-on-3 and don’t fully understand the responsibilities and spacing in 5-on-5. I help players recognize that they’re not alone on the court—you have four teammates, and knowing how to move, communicate, and adapt to them is key. I share personal insights on how to approach your teammates and coaches the right way—something that’s just as important as skills. The first training session is usually an evaluation, where we see where you’re at technically and physically. Based on that, we build a focused plan tailored to you. I also offer game film analysis when available, and if I’m in San Francisco and you’re playing, I’ll try to come and watch in person. I was the 5th-best assist leader in my league, and I always play with the intent to guide and create. That same philosophy carries into my coaching. Our work continues until I see that there’s nothing more I can give you—that’s when we know it’s time to move forward on your own. Let’s elevate your game together.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first session is focused on assessing the player’s current level — physically, technically, and mentally. We’ll run through basic drills, observe movement and ball control, and have a conversation about the player’s goals. This helps me design a personalized plan that suits their style and needs. I also emphasize the importance of fundamentals, mindset, and the difference between 3v3 and 5v5 basketball.
Lesson 11+By this point, the player’s progress guides how we continue. We refine strengths, eliminate weaknesses, and simulate game situations. If I see that the player is no longer progressing with me, I’m honest and will let them know when it’s time to move on to new challenges. My goal is to help them grow — not just as a player, but as a teammate and person on the court.
Lesson 4-10Training becomes more detailed and intense. We focus on repetition, reaction, decision-making, and execution under pressure. If there’s game footage available, I do analysis with the player to build smarter habits. Players start gaining confidence in their skills, understanding the rhythm of the game, and improving consistency.
Lesson 2-3We begin developing key fundamentals like footwork, ball-handling, shooting form, and spacing. I teach the basics of game awareness — how to think the game, how to use teammates effectively, and how to approach coaches and the game itself with the right mindset.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with younger kids, my main goal is to help them fall in love with basketball through fun and positive experiences. I focus on the basics: stance, movement, footwork, dribbling, and shooting. Sessions are playful but structured — we build from the ground up. I also teach them the importance of teamwork, how to respect their coach and teammates, and how to behave on the court. Every session includes encouragement and praise to boost their confidence.

Working with teenagersWith teenagers, the approach becomes more focused and structured. I emphasize technique — especially ball-handling, shooting, and game awareness. I help them understand the difference between 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 basketball, and how to adapt their mindset when playing with a full team. I also share real lessons from my own playing experience: how to approach teammates, how to carry yourself on the court, and how to grow both as a player and a person. I expect focus, effort, and a good attitude — and in return, I’m fully committed to helping them improve.

What you need to bringStudents should bring comfortable sportswear, basketball shoes, water, patience, and a good spirit ready to work and learn.

What I can bringI will bring all necessary basketball equipment for training, including balls, cones, resistance bands, and any other tools needed for drills and development.
