Beginner training plan
Your first lessonStart off training like an actual boxer. Jumping rope,n finding the right stance, Shadow boxing, calisthenics, core work, and then bag work. We focus solely on the basics at the start. No fancy stuff.
Lesson 11+To advance to the higher levels of boxing. Throwing hooks with precision, upper cuts, and over-hands, up jabs, switching stances, parrying, and more
Lesson 4-10To get comfortable throwing a 1+2, to be familiar with how a proper "slipping" works, to more comfortable walking in a boxer stance, and a body shot called a rammer.
Lesson 2-3Similar to the first workout, but with different aspects of boxing. Footwork, head movement, defense, and proper punch position.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonEvaluate skills. Watch Shadow boxing form, see conditioning, and awareness
Lesson 11+To increase conditioning to make it through a 12 round fight and then some.
Lesson 4-10To keep working the fine tuning, while learning how to increase speed and power, and changing up workouts and focuses of boxing based on the day. Some days are heavy with hand defense, others are with head movement, others with creating space and then cutting space.
Lesson 2-3Work on boxing strategies, little moves, improve footwork for optimal angles, and power on punches.
Youth players
Working with kidsStart off with less intensity and lots of patience. My goal with teaching youth is to help them focus and teach them the basics and get really good with throwing with a 1+2 and to have fun with boxing.
Working with teenagersIt's harder than kids 10 and under, but with a huge focus on the basics.
