Beginner training plan
Your first classDuring the first lesson, I get to know the student’s cooking experience and goals. We review basic kitchen safety, essential Dominican ingredients, and simple cooking techniques. Together, we prepare an easy traditional Dominican dish while building confidence and learning proper food preparation.”
Class 2-3“In lessons two and three, students will continue developing their cooking skills by preparing popular Dominican dishes such as mangú, rice and beans, stewed chicken, and tostones. We focus on seasoning, timing, and understanding traditional Dominican flavors.”
Class 4-10“Students will learn more advanced Dominican recipes and techniques, including meal planning, food presentation, and cooking multiple dishes together. By the end of these lessons, students will be able to confidently prepare complete Dominican meals for family and friends.”
Class 11+Advanced students can explore specialty Dominican dishes, family recipes, and personalized cooking goals. Lessons may include sancocho, pastelón, pasteles en hoja, Dominican desserts, and techniques for hosting gatherings or improving efficiency in the kitchen.”
