About your english coach
I have an M.A. in teaching ESL and have taught English for 6 years. I have been an educator for 19 years. I teach all skill levels of English from beginner to people studying professional vocabulary for work. I have also taught all ages. To really understand how people learn English, you must know how different people learn at different levels.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI use a lot of pictures and have students do things like repeat after me or fill in what’s missing. I speak slowly and clearly. We repeat examples many times. I make sure the student knows mistakes are OK!
Lesson 2-3We will do the same things for many lessons until it becomes easy.
Lesson 4-10We will add new words and grammar.
Lesson 11+The student can now talk a little more about what they like and about their life. We can figure out what you really want to practice.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is about listening to what you want and need. If you have goals about getting a job, or passing a citizenship test, or whatever is connected to your life, we want to make sure this is being met.
Lesson 2-3It depends on individual goals, but we will start working with a textbook or other materials. I will make it very clear to you what I think you should do to meet your goals. We will have a plan for the near future.
Lesson 4-10I will give you more feedback about how you’re doing and any strengths and weaknesses. We will continue to add new challenging material.
Lesson 11+By this point or probably a little sooner, I will ask for feedback from you—about how you think you’re doing and what is or isn’t working with lessons.
What you need to bringYou should bring a notebook and something to write with. You may also want to bring index cards for vocabulary. If you want to record lessons, that’s fine. Probably, we will also decide to use a textbook.
What I can bringI can bring books and printed materials to help you study. I can also bring my laptop for any audio or videos that can help.
