Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI want to find out what your goals are. Learn more about you and what you hope to accomplish.
First things first. I will watch you hit a few balls to get an understanding of your swing and mechanics. Fundamentals in golf are everything and this is where we’ll start.
Fundamentals:
- Grip
- Stance
- Alignment
Lesson 4-10Once you have grip, stance, alignment, and a solid backswing we can start to focus on the downswing.
How to transition, what the hips do, how the hands work
Lesson 2-3Once you have a firm grasp on the fundamentals, we will work on a few drills to hone your swing.
We will start with the backswing. This can be broken down into three parts.
1. The Takeaway
2. Halfway Back
3. Top of the Swing
The focus here is not on contact yet. We are focusing on building strong fundamentals. Take some time to really get the techniques ingrained.
