Proud to hail from Cincinnati, I found my calling in the world of golf early on, starting in middle school and eventually earning my stripes through the Professional Golf Management Program at Mississippi State University. With over eight years in the PGA under my belt, my passion is bringing people to the game of golf and helping them find joy in playing. Along with being a PGA member, I have had the opportunity to coach on the high school varsity level. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonEstablish rapport with the student by understanding why he or she got into golf, why he or she chose to get a lesson at this time, and what his or her goals are for their golf game.
We will discuss the difference between woods and irons, how the ball gets into the air, and the basic mechanics of a proper golf swing. The student will leave with an understanding of the proper setup and have one swing thought to work on for improvement.
Lesson 11+These lessons will continue working on correct movements for the swing. Students can anticipate on course lessons to see how practice is put into play. Understanding how to score and course management will be topics that get covered as the student progresses.
Lesson 4-10These lessons will involve getting into more specifics of the swing and the relationship ball flight has with body movements. These lessons will build on the foundation established in the first few lessons, making sure to reinforce the correct movements in the swing. Improvement in these lessons will depend upon several variables (practice time, movement being corrected, etc).
We will also introduce short game topics - chipping and putting - so the student can develop a feel for all areas of the game.
Lesson 2-3We will continue to work on developing the correct body movements and proper sequencing to establish a solid foundation for his or her swing.
Youth players
Working with teenagersSet clear expectations with practice and playing schedule.

Focus is on short game and how to score.
What you need to bringYour clubs, comfortable golf attire, golf glove, a positive attitude, and an umbrella in case of inclement weather.
