About your golf coach

I have traveled all over the United States to attend numerous golf academies in order to learn and understand all aspects of the game. The National Academy of Sports Medicine in California for Golf Fitness Specialist training. The PING Academy in Arizona for club fitting and club making/ repair. The Titleist Performance Institute in California to become a Certified Instructor Pro. The Butch Harmon School of Golf Instructors in Las Vegas to learn from one of the greatest minds in golf. I began my journey as a PGA apprentice at the age of 14 at an offcial PGA recognized Golf Academy. Now at 38 years old, I am the 1st Assistant Pro and Head Instructor there. I have worked in all areas of golf to provide students a vast understanding of the game but more importantly, how the industry works. I currently compete on a pro tour and while at events, I like to meet reps and other coaches so I may keep up with the latest emerging techniques and equipment developments in the game. My goal is to get you to play GOOD golf. And with my approach to the game I assure you that whatever skill level you are, we will enhance it together through a clear understanding of the secrets of the game and our hard work together!! My students on average with my program have shaved 10-15 strokes per round off of their game after working with me. I look forward to helping you enjoy the game you love even more!!!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will conduct an OPTIONAL Physical Assessment designed by the Titleist Performance Institute to determine the golf capabilities and limitations of the player’s body. Again this is optional and not required, however highly recommended for optimal results. The Physical assessment consist of doing several golf positions and movements which will identify the player’s physical attributes and limitations. The amount for the TPI Physical Assessment is an additional $100 to the price of the first lesson. Again, this is OPTIONAL. We will then come to an understanding of the Player’s goals in order to develop a specific training program. An understanding of basic golf terms, rules, and etiquette will be encompassed throughout the lessons. I like to begin Golf from the putter going upwards in the bag. We will work on establishing a proper set up routine, the putting grip, style of putt, putting arch, and speed specific for the golfer. The goal of the day is to be able to putt the golf ball effectively from 7 feet and in. By the end of the lesson the student will be able to putt the ball successfully and consistently from outwards of 1,3,5,and 7 feet.
Lesson 2-3LESSON 2: We will review the first lesson for 5 minutes to see how much the first lesson was practiced on and absorbed by the student. Immediately after we will begin to learn to Chip. We will discuss the importance of this particular shot, and when to properly use it. Chip shots are for short distances typically but not limited to around the green. Expected distances to be hit: 1-30 yards. This is a hybrid lesson which combines the previous putting one has learned paired with chipping. This will simulate the final part of a hole of golf; A chip and a putt. We move on with the lesson by adding distance to the players putting abilities: 7- 20 feet. Once the player can successfully chip from 30 yards and in they will chip the ball on to the green and putt the ball in to the hole. A combination of the first two lessons. LESSON 3: We will review the second lesson for 5 minutes to see how much was practiced on and absorbed by the student. Immediately after we will begin to learn how to Pitch. We will discuss the importance of this particular shot, and when to properly use it. Pitch shots are for short to mid range distances when the ball is too far away from the green for a chip shot to be effective. Expected distances to be hit: 30-100 yards. The goal of the day is landing one ball on the green then putt the ball in to the hole. This will simulate when the player is in scoring position on the fairway of a hole of golf. Should the player miss the green they will use the chip shot they previously learned to get the ball closest to the hole as possible for the easiest putt. Player will then putt the ball in to the hole. We will chip, pitch, and putt the remainder of the lesson working on and addressing any issues or questions the player may have.
Lesson 4-10LESSON 4: As always we will spend 5 minutes going over the previous lessons to see how much was practiced on and absorbed by the student. Immediately after we will begin to learn to putt from 20- 50 feet also known as Lag Putting. Upon successfully performing several lag putts we will begin to pitch again. Once the student has become accustomed to the process we will start to move back from 100 yards and out which will bring the 9 and 8 iron in to play. Expected distances to be hit: 100- 130 yards. The remainder of the lesson will be exactly like the previous lesson with shots becoming farther and farther away from the green with the daily goal of landing one ball on the green and sink a putt. LESSON 5: Once again we will begin with a review of all lessons so far to see how much of the lessons are being practiced on and absorbed by the student. Immediately after we will begin to putt from 1-50 feet. After successfully putting we will move in to the 7 iron and 6 iron. Expected distances to be hit: 130-160 yards. The remainder of the lesson will be exactly like the previous lesson. We will attack the green from farther and farther out with the goal of landing one ball on the green. Should the player miss they will use the chip shot they have previously learned to get in to putting position. The player will putt the ball in the hole to finish. The player will repeat this until the end of the lesson. LESSON 6: As per tradition we will begin the lesson with a review of all the previous lessons to see how much of the lessons were worked on and absorbed by the student. We will immediately begin to work on any problems or questions the student may have since the beginning of their instruction. From then we will go on to the 5 iron and 4 iron. Expected distances to be hit: 150 yards to 180 yards. We will then discuss the middle long shot in golf and what to do when this occurs out on the course. The student will be moved once again further back from the green with the goal to land one ball on the green. Should the student miss they will use the chipping and putting methods to get the ball in the hole. LESSON 7: Hybrids and Fairway woods. These clubs are used to try and land the ball on the green from much longer distances. Typically from 180 yards to 230 yards. The 3 and 5 wood as well as all hybrids clubs will be used. We will then discuss the difference between a middle long shot to a long distance shot. Also we will the discuss the differences between fairway woods and hybrids and which one would be best for your game. Typically these shots are very far away from the green however, yet still close enough to land the ball on the green if done successfully. Should the golfer miss their shot they have all of the shots from the previous lessons to get them to the green and in putting position. We will move farther and farther away until the student can no long reach the green to establish distances. We will finish the lesson by hitting at the green from the farthest distance possible for the player. They player will chip the ball on the green should they miss with previously learned shots to get the ball in to putting position. LESSON 8: The moment you have finally been waiting for; THE DRIVER. We will for good measure go over all over the previous lessons to track the progress of the student. We warm up the body from putting, to chipping, to pitching, to full swings with clubs all the way up to your Driver. By that time all of the golf muscles will be ready and warmed up to handle the Driver. We will establish what grip the player is to use, their swing style, natural shot shape, and initial distance. From there we will work the Driver until the lesson is over. The student will drive the on the range for short while to begin to learn their swing. The remainder of the lesson will be exactly like the previous ones. Use the driver to put the ball in to play, then use all previously learned shots to get the ball on the green and in to the hole. We will finish by giving the player their shot book which has all of the notes I have taken on them since the first lesson. They can now use this as their own customized personal golf guide should I be unavailable or when your are out to golf. LESSON 9: Specialty shots. We will work on shots from the sand bunkers both green and fairway play and how to set up to hit them. Next we will move in to escape shots such as when you hit your ball in to the trees, but you can still hit the ball back in to play to continue the hole. We will go over situations in the rough and how to escape tall grass. These are the main shots a golfer will need to learn to hit should they miss their target and need to safely recover. We will then get in to these situations on the course and try to get the ball on the green and putt the ball in the hole. LESSON 10: The Combine. A combine is a test in golf used to determine which shots the player hits the best and which shots need the most improvement. I will pick shots for you to hit with clubs I choose at random. This will determine how well you perform against the random clubs one will pull from their bag on a hole of golf. We will establish your best and worst shots so we know what works and what doesn’t. After the combine and we collect the data needed to calculate what kind of player you are. Finally we will go and play serval holes of golf as I caddy for you each shot of the way.
Lesson 11+PLAYERS CHOICE!! As a reward for your hard work and commitment what we do in the last lesson is 100% up to you. We can work on the things you love doing the most or we can work on things you wish we improve together. We will then end the lesson with playing a few holes of golf so we may enjoy your newly learned game together!!

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWe will discuss what successes the player has on the course and what causes them to struggle. Next we will discuss goals the players wishes to achieve. This is done by establishing what the player wants to see from themselves out on the course both shot wise AND mental wise. After the discussion we will conduct a combine which is a test in golf used to determine a players better shots and what shots they struggle with. We will then tailor the focus of the training program’s contents based off the results of the combine as well as the student’s feedback.
Lesson 2-3These lessons will consist of specific drills and exercises that will promote the changes you wish to see on the course.
Lesson 4-10Set up new challenges congruent to the players progress trends and track their progress in order to determine which further corrections need to be made.
Lesson 11+We will finish with a combine again to see the ultimate state of improvements. Afterwards we will go play 9 holes of golf to see how the new changes have perform on the course.

What you need to bringGolf Bag with clubs. Golf shoes. Golf balls. Typical golf equipment. Smash bag. (not required)

What I can bringAny and all equipment if the student needs to borrow something specific. I have plenty of training aids from elastic bands to alignment sticks to swing aids.

I’ve been taking lessons with Kristopher for a couple of months now and have seen great progress in my golf game as a result! Kris is very knowledgeable about the sport and has a great personality; something I’ve found to be very rare with other coaches. I am someone who loves to weight train 5-6x a week, so naturally, I always dreamed of hitting long drives with my driver. Kris taught me how to properly hit my driver. Before, all I knew how to do was slice it, or when I made decent contact, I would hit around 250 yards. As a result of his teaching, I am now able to hit 300+ yard fades with the club. Along with my driver, Kris also helped improve my short game around the green so I’m no longer 2, or sometimes, even 3 chipping to get onto the putting green. I also found Kris to be very flexible when it comes to scheduling lessons. You can take them at a driving range, the chipping/putting greens at Hollenback, or he will travel to Sand Springs, Blue Ridge Trail, Four Seasons, and Wilkes-Barre Golf Club for a playing lesson. It doesn’t matter where the course is. Overall, Kris does a fantastic job describing how golf works in terms that even a novice can understand. I credit him for the vast improvement in my game on the course and for the knowledge I’ve been able to enjoyably learn. I cannot recommend Kris enough; he’s a great coach with the credentials, skills, and personality that let you enjoy and learn the game of golf at the same time!

Personalized teaching, focused on exactly what I needed
Jacob
I have had the professional opportunity to work with and observe Kris as a golf instructor, and he consistently demonstrates exceptional technical expertise and professionalism. His structured, analytical approach delivers clear, measurable results. By identifying approach play and putting as weaknesses in my game, Kris implemented focused training that, through extensive on-course practice, reduced my handicap from 15 to my current 8.6. I have also observed his instruction of other players firsthand, where his clear communication and individualized adjustments produced immediate improvement. As a current Cobra and Puma ambassador, I attribute a meaningful portion of my development and progression to Kris’ coaching. Kris’ commitment to results-driven player development is evident, and I would endorse him without hesitation as an outstanding golf instructor.

Kris is the Man to see when it comes to Improving your golf game. I've been taking lessons from him for 4-5 years and the difference in my game is night and day. Before I could barely reach 130 yards, I was slicing balls in the woods left & right, and i could barely chip at all. After lessons with Kris, I'm hitting 210+ yards, I'm hitting the ball arrow straight, and I can chip with ease. He can customize your lesson and tailor it to suit you, not many people do that. 10/10, highly recommend.

Kris is a wonderful coach to my 12 and 13 year old sons. He takes the time to explain golf and golf etiquette to my boys in ways they can understand. If they're having a tough time on the course, Kris takes a moment to talk out how they are feeling, helps them to clear their heads, and then will go over whatever issue is causing the problem, whether it be a bad swing or trouble with putting. Kris is so upbeat and motivational; he truly is helping to shape my sons' love of golf."
