I am currently enrolled with TPI (Titleist Performance institute) it is a curriculum centered around the body and it’s needed functions to swing a club and generate force efficiently. As well it covers flexibility, joint mobility, some minor strength training and really helpful insights to more advanced body movement. A little bit on me I'm a dedicated golfer who began playing at a young age and got serious about the game around age 12. I played for AES for three years, competing at the state championship for two of those seasons. With a passion for teaching, I've guided a few true beginner students to significant improvements in their game, now, I'm eager to help others enhance their game and achieve their golfing goals. I thought I would always be that golfer that just plays a snap hook and that’s what it is, not since I went to see Matt, I never truly understood the reason why a ball flys and turn the way it does until a couple of lessons with this young man. He truly elaborates on why you have to do certain things to hit em straight!

Matt P. Is wonderful with the little ones. He might have an 8.2 handicap but he’s more than capable to meet any player no matter their age or skill level. He is a true teacher at heart and definitely helped my 12y/o son feel a lot more confident swinging a club!!

I was struggling a lot with using my lower body consistently through my bag but Matt was able to give me very helpful advice in terms of how to move my body but also great swing thoughts that I can chew on for a while, he has also improved my short game by simplifying and not overthinking it

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI will go through a physical screen with every player so I can identify what that players body is capable of. Then start to analyze the swing and discuss most common flaws in their game.
Lesson 11+In these lesson we will work on small details that can make big differences depending on the shots we’re trying to produce.
Lesson 4-10In these later lesson once we are seeing some improvement with initial problems the player should start to understand the golf swing a lot better and I like to let the player start to lead us where to work next or what to keep building up
Lesson 2-3Start building routines to help the player better understand why we have some of these misses and how we can minimize them
What you need to bringFor kids it’s best to fit them for their own set. I know it might seem expensive even to just try it out but if you are in the Lafayette area go to golf connection on pinhook. If you’re kid hates it you can return them. The reason I say get them their own is because full size clubs are significantly heavier and longer than what a child will be comfortable with, it’s kind of like asking them to try jogging with for the first time with a weighted vest in 90+ degree weather
What I can bringI don’t use many tools to help besides a camera and some alignment sticks, maybe a few magazines to keep elbows in place
