Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI want to get to know you, especially your golf goals.
I will also tell you a little about me. I want to establish good communication.
We will then cover grip, posture, stance, alignment, and work into the basic swing.
Lesson 11+Some on course, real situation lessons.
Refining your swing to start going low on your score.
Lesson 4-10At this point in the package I start getting you prepared for short game. Wedges, chipping, and putting.
I try to cover something different each lesson.
There are lots of different shots in golf. These lessons are set up to cover those shots.
Lesson 2-3During these lessons it’s important to grove all the core aspects covered in lesson 1. Lot’s of practice swings and hits.
It’s usually during these two lessons that we find out how you react to golf and how hard or easy the journey will be.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI will spend a couple of minutes getting to know you and what your goals are.
Once goal is established, you will take several practice swings and hit 4 to 5 shots or more while I get a feel for your swing.
I may take a video with V1 Golf if needed to slow your swing to get a better look at the swing.
If there is something to work on to improve your game I will identify what can be better and show you.
For the remainder of the lesson I will have you work on changes 1 at a time.
I will teach you the half-swing and drag club drills which help you feel being solid thru impact which is one of my core teachings.
Lesson 11+If we make it this far, the sessions will be clearly be what you feel are the most pressing problems you may have. At this point, we may be doing some work on the course itself to put you through more real time golf situations.
Lesson 4-10When we get this far into lessons the focus should be on what is causing you the most trouble. We will get in a couple of good short game sessions. The short game sessions will focus on get the ball closer to the whole with pitch shots, sand shots and chip shots. I will also make sure your putting stroke is sound and have you perform several putting drills to help you sink more putts.
Lesson 2-3We will reinforce the issues and work them out 1 at a time. Focus will be on staying connected and solid.
I do not believe in being too wristy, so fucus will be on very limited wrist action.
Youth players
Working with kidsAges 6 - 12
I want thus age group to have fun. I try not to be too technical. I talk in their language and show and tell a little bit. I offer extreme patience and encouragement.
The objective is to have fun and nit get too serious.
Working with teenagersAge 13 and up
Sessions are now a bit more serious. We work on technical golf swings. We will work hard on all aspects of the game. Most teenagers are trying to make a golf team or play in golf tournaments. We will focus on this to include putting, chipping, pitching, bunker and course management.
Objective: get you tournament ready!
What you need to bring Bring yourself, your golf clubs, and a good open mind. You may have to learn new ways and having a positive attitude will go a big way towards playing better golf.
What I can bringI can provide clubs for to have your lesson with if you do not have clubs yet. I will also provide the practice balls we will use during the lesson.
