Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe start with the basic fundamentals and reiterate those details before we swing to ensure confidence in a strong setup. Then we break the swing down to certain key checkpoints in the swing that each golfer should know going forward and implement easy drills that could be done while practicing at home or on the range.
Lesson 2-3We continue to strengthen a strong setup along with the key checkpoints in the swing. May implement more advance drills depending on how quick the student picks it up.
Lesson 4-10More advance tips will follow in the swing to further enhance the feels versus reals that will happen on the golf course or even while practicing to be more efficient and aware of so bad habits are limited or easily prevented. Depending on how quick the student progresses at this point, could see more on-course instruction as well.
Lesson 11+Further grooving the swing but will also take it out on the course and see it off different lies and angles. More course management strategies will be applied.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI assess if they have played any type of competition bc that’s what breeds better performance and players. Then address any swing, short game or mental issues out on the course. With more advance tips and drills given, the student should be able to enhance his or her daily practice and be better prepared to compete or have a better understanding next lesson comes around.
Youth players
Working with kidsIt’s all about having fun and sparking that interest to keep them coming back to golf especially with beginners. Teaching methods will also be not as sophisticated compared to more advanced players.
Working with teenagersRegardless of their background with golf, I will also try to implement a strategy to make it more fun and exciting for teenagers.
What you need to bringYou can wear regular golf attire but also can be in casual sportswear since we are at a public course. Feel free to also bring a water bottle, hat, towel, sunscreen and golf clubs. I also have rentals both left
or right handed that may be used for no charge.
What I can bringCamera/video feedback and range balls provided at Blue Sky Golf Club (no need to pay for balls)
