Hi everyone ! My name is Thomas Wray. I am a certified golf instructor/coach here at TeachMe.to.I hv 50 years of experience playing golf and the last 20 years instructing it.My lessons are comprehensive in nature and easy to perform.I make it fun and competitive because studies have shown that golf contests such as putting help students rise to another level if competitive by nature!I will push you hard to acheive the goals set by our initial meeting but it will be at a pace suitable to the students ability.I have always had a passion for the game of golf and my former students .can attest to my results thru my reviews. learn the hardest yet the funnest game in the world

Your first lessongetting the grip of the club comfortable and correct,loosening up with some swings and aids if needed and accessing the pupils swing to get an idea where he/she is at level wise.
Lesson 11+gaining confidence in their abilities in every aspect of the game including etiquette on the golf course and a round of 9 holes at Westdale Hills gc which is my home course access how far the student is at this point in his knowledge and abilities to navigate the course and make necessary adjustments.
Lesson 4-10stretching and getting łoose,more video taping the swing and more analysis by hitting up to 1 or 2 buckets of balls and probłem solving..rhru these lessons we will start moving around the green for chipping lessons and putting łessons and łearn the basics of the motion of chipping the ball and the putting stroke using aids and video
Lesson 2-3warm up exercises then making adjustments if needed to the basic fundamentals of the golf swing i.e. keeping head dowm,proper follow thru etc..then begin to study the pupils swing thru video taping the pupil and correcting problems one at a time not to overwhelm the srudent to much but cocentrate on one thing ar a time and not lose focus by compliments to listening and performing what i teach

Working with kidsMy approach to teaching/coaching kids is to make learning a fun experience and to come to their level when needed to help them understand the fundamentals of golf.Ill incorporate fun skill games and reward them with hi fives and encourage them to reach further.I can assess their commitment the deeper into instruction we go.Ultimately the goal is enjoyment,laughter and accomplishment not necessarily in that order!
Working with teenagersAs with teaching kids i want to incorporate a fun environment to make the lessons engaging for older kids as well,however put more focus on the mental parts of the game as well,such as the etiquette required on the course and getting thru the ups and downs that the sport produces,assessing where the student is on the fundamentals and tailor the lessons where i feel it is needed for optimizing that students ability to take it to the next level in all parts of the game.That means practice rounds utilizing different techniques to improve the tee ball,approach shots Chipping and putting to the point of it being second nature thru drills and practice.My goal is to make it fun for all and to take the student to the next level .
What you need to bringthe student can bring their own clubs or i can provide them along with everything else needed to get started,
What I can bringI wiil bring all of the equipment thats necessary to get the player started we will work out the rest when needed

The most golf i played was putt putt when i started learning from Jerry.Being a left handed golfer,he was able to mirror my swing as a right hander,made it easier to understand the basic movements ,stance and putting stroke.He makes lessons fun and goofs around but never makes you lose focus on why your there.Salute to Jerry i highly recommend him and a 5 star for sure!
