About your guitar teacher

Ryan was raised in a musical household and began taking lessons from the time he was able to wrap his hands around a guitar neck. He is well versed in a variety of genres and styles including Rock, Jazz, Blues and Americana. He works with students of all ages and levels of experience and tailors lessons to the individual (no one size fits all approach). Beginning students start with simple melodies and basic chord forms. Advanced players develop theory, harmony, composition, improvisation.

Your first lessonGet to know the student—what types of music do they listen to, what’s their learning style, do they have any previous musical experience, etc… We go over how the guitar works & makes sound, it’s different parts—-how to hold it, fret notes and pluck strings.

I’ve been taking guitar lessons with Ryan for the past 9 months, and it has been a great experience. Ryan is a skilled teacher who really listens to his students and adapts lessons to their individual goals and challenges.
