Beginner training plan
Your first lessonGuitar basics! Tuning, reading tab, and a pentatonic scale. Plus, we'll start working on a song you'd like to learn.
Lesson 11+Bringing songs up to performance quality, learning scales and exercises, and sprinkling in some music theory to taste so that you'll be well equipped to learn and write music on your own.
Lesson 4-10Bringing a song or two up to play-along quality; developing comfort improvising in a style you enjoy; and learning chord shapes.
Lesson 2-3Working through a song you'd like to learn in sections; practicing scales and basic improvisation.
