Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst I would introduce the basics of the sport such as cradling, scooping the ball, passing, and catching. My goal would to have the student get comfortable with a stick in their hand.
Lesson 11+At this point the athletes should be at a level where they can do most of the basics on their own without much trouble, so at this point I would just continue feeding their knowledge and lacrosse IQ while also continuing to improve their stick skills
Lesson 4-10Depending on how quick the student is advancing and picking up the techniques, I would probably start doing more competition based drills such as 1 on 1 ground balls or 1 on 1 offense vs defense to see how the athletes are integrating what they’ve been taught into a more realistic situation
Lesson 2-3I will retouch on what was taught in the first lesson and start to add in skills such as shooting, footwork, and dodging

Youth players
Working with kidsI love working with younger kids as I am a big brother of 2 younger siblings. I feel like I excel in the ability to get through to younger kids in regards to coaching. I love passing down skills to kids who will be able to use them in the future of their lacrosse career!

What you need to bringCleats, Stick, Gloves, Helmet Optional but suggested: Elbow pads and chest pad (if there are any contact drills during the lesson, the student will not be allowed to participate if they do not have the correct equipment)

What I can bringUnable to provide equipment at the moment

Parent review: Our experience with Jett was that of a coach and as a player. A good coach is a communicator and motivator, and is empathetic and holds players accountable. Jett was all of those with our son. He picked our player up when things were not going his way, put him in situations to contribute and to succeed, and celebrated him when it all came together. Our son looked up to and trusted Jett. It led him to perform well on and off the field, in areas where he doubted he could. And last but not least, Jett is a good human and is adored by kids and adults! Natascha, parent.
