About your lacrosse coach

Hey! My names Joey Moffa and i’m from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and currently attend LSU as a freshman. All my life I grew up playing lacrosse from a very young age. I played on Travel Teams, National Teams, and was a 4-year starter on my private schools team. I played closed-defense but I also took plenty of runs at LSM and Faceoffs. I have taught lacrosse at the local camps near my area and ones that my Travel Team set up.

Youth players
Working with kidsIn my experience working with kids you have to give them goals, or prizes too reach for so for every practice we will have a goal or a prize at the end of that. It will depend on each player what that could be.

Working with teenagersTeenagers start needing to learn more of how a High School practice is structured and conducted. That was the biggest thing I never had so I would start implementing a more of a higher demand from the kids and push them farther than they believe they can. Of course we will take necessary time with each skillset depending on each students skill set.

I learned so much with Joey he plays at the future High School I will play at that’s how I met him. He’s a High IQ Player with tons of Knowledge to give to younger kids including me. He’s made my game expand in ways I didn’t ever think about before
Ryan Messina
I was a freshman when Joey was a starter at High School ball and I barely knew how to pass and catch. Joey took me a side a lot and helped me out and then I started doing lessons with him and I became so much better than I had been.
Chase Wood
Learned a lot from him. Great mentor and coach. Loved the intensity he brought to the practice because I asked for more intensity and he expanded my game immensely.
Nicholas Moffa
I got lessons from my brother coming into freshman year and most likely gained me a starting spot on the Varsity Team next year.
Zach Voynar
One of my very close friends. He’s the one who got me into lacrosse and taught me up and eventually started playing with him on the Varsity Team in High School. He’s a great leader on the field and extremely high IQ of the game. He could spot things coming before anyone else could. I learned a lot.
