Hey there! I’m a multi-instrumentalist who produces, mixes and masters, both my own music and for clients. It’s such a great feeling to be able to take your art/ideas/dreams to the final goal. I produce all genres, specializing in Ableton. Music production is quite easy, there’s just sooooo many little details that we need to be made aware of. Working with teenagersTeenagers are definitely old enough to produce. I wish I had started that young.
What you need to bringI think the student should have their own computer, and we work with the tools that they have, because 99% of the work would be done on their own time, and they wouldn't have access to my gadgets and gizmos. So a computer, interface, and any instrument they would want to record. And that could also be vocals. It depends on their genre. Maybe it's electronic and only computer and DAW needed.
What I can bringI have all the tools. Tons of plugins and gear that I can present to see if the student could benefit from acquiring. But to learn production, definitely a computer would be vital. Also, I specialize in Ableton, but the skills needed to produce music are all the same on all DAWS, and I can definitely provide service on any DAW.
