Music is my language, and through the piano, I've spent 11 years helping playing and honing my craft. I am currently in college to work for my degree in music, while minoring in piano, voice, and audio engineering. I can teach anywhere, whether it is me coming to you or you coming to me! Music has always been a source of therapy for me and I just want to provide that sense of belonging to other people as well. As a music producer, I bring a unique understanding of theory, performance, and artistry to each lesson, creating a fun and enriching experience for students of all levels. I truly believe piano is an instrument which every musician should have a basic understanding of.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFor the first lesson, I assess my students piano skills and understand what they would like to achieve from taking piano classes so I can then create a personalized curriculum I then suggest books needed.
Lesson 11+We will be continuing with the student’s assigned exercises. Once I feel confident in the students skills, we can start learning and practicing actual piano songs along with our usual scales and homework.
Lesson 4-10We start learning from the books I have recommended. Music theory is a very important skill that every student should learn when taking piano. Though I believe theory and technique are highly important, I believe artistry is just as important. Depending on where the student is at, I will start assigning exercises, and scales.
Lesson 2-3I show my students (or their guardians) their personal curriculum, reviewing what to expect from lessons. We go over basics and how to properly use a piano.
Youth players
Working with kidsI am very patient and gentle with young children, which is important when it comes to the development of skills. I use a lot of color in my lessons, as it makes it easier to remember and learn. I expect parents to be at lessons as well.
Working with teenagersWhen I teach teenagers, I teach them as equals. I focus more on technique and artistry with teenagers and adults, as it helps them develop individuality when performing. I do expect them to practice more than children, considering they have the wherewithal to do so.
What you need to bringBring yourselves! Piano books may be needed to understand theory but will suggest during lesson.
What I can bringI have a beautiful baby grand piano to learn on as well as a portable 88 key keyboard.
