It was a great pleasure to learn from Ms Jolynn. Many piano techniques have been taught to me, such as keeping my fingers curved at all times. She is the first piano teacher that helped me receive 2 gold medals in my national and international level piano competitions. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe’ll assess your current level, musical goals, and stylistic interests (classical, pop, film scoring, songwriting, etc.). You’ll be introduced to foundational techniques, rhythm, and musicality in a relaxed and engaging session. For advanced students, we’ll do a performance review and begin technical fine-tuning.
Lesson 11+Now we get to mastery and creative expansion. You may prepare for competitions, diploma exams, auditions, or create original music. This is also where we explore stage presence, recording prep, and advanced technique refinement. For industry-focused students, I also offer guidance in music business, branding, and content creation.
Lesson 4-10Expect rapid progress here. Beginners will start learning full pieces with proper phrasing and dynamic control. Intermediate/advanced students may explore interpretative performance, improvisation, or songwriting. You’ll also learn efficient practice habits and performance mindset techniques. If desired, music theory and ear training will be introduced or deepened.
Lesson 2-3We’ll begin building a solid foundation in hand coordination, musical expression, and sight-reading (or elevate your existing technique if you’re intermediate/advanced). You’ll also receive personalized warmups and practice strategies. Song selection or composition tasks will align with your goals.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWe begin with an in-depth assessment of your technique, repertoire, and artistic voice. I’ll observe your playing in detail, identify technical habits (good and bad), and discuss your musical goals—whether that’s preparing for a diploma, competition, or developing your artistry as a serious performer, composer, or creator. You’ll leave this lesson with immediate high-level feedback and a personalized roadmap.
Lesson 11+This is where artistry meets mastery. Whether you’re pursuing conservatory, building a portfolio, or performing professionally, I’ll guide you through the fine-tuning of repertoire, recital or jury prep, stage presence, and even music industry navigation. You’ll also have the option to explore original composition, hybrid styles, or content direction if your goals extend beyond the stage. This phase is fully customized based on who you are—and where you’re going.
Lesson 4-10You’ll now see measurable growth in your execution, interpretative nuance, and musical confidence. We’ll explore multiple genres if desired (classical, jazz, film score, crossover), while deepening expression, rhythm control (including polyrhythms and off-time signatures), and advanced musical storytelling. You may also start working on original compositions or arrangements. For career-focused musicians, we can begin talking about performance strategy, content creation, and audience building.
Lesson 2-3We’ll start refining your tone production, articulation, and expressive phrasing across your existing repertoire. Technique is tailored based on your goals—whether that’s velocity, hand balance, or advanced pedaling. I’ll also introduce mindset tools for performance, audition prep, or portfolio development if needed. If applicable, we’ll begin structuring your routine around upcoming competitions, recording sessions, or creative output.
Youth players
Working with kidsI focus on helping young children build a strong, joyful foundation in music through creative games, fun rhythms, and storytelling-based learning. With over 9 years of international experience, I help my youngest students develop proper technique, rhythm, and musicality—while also fostering curiosity and discipline. Each lesson is personalized to your child’s age, energy, and musical interest, ensuring they fall in love with music from day one. Teaching materials are provided, and all travel within Beverly Hills is included.
Working with teenagersTeen students receive structured guidance with a balance of creativity and accountability. Whether they’re learning piano for enjoyment, school auditions, competitions, or college prep (including ABRSM, Diploma, or Berklee-style contemporary studies), I tailor lessons to meet them where they are and challenge them to grow. Many of my teen students have gone on to win international competitions or pursue music in higher education. I also mentor students in songwriting, performance confidence, and how to use music as a personal outlet. Teaching materials are provided, with travel within Beverly Hills included.
