As a lifelong tennis player, making the transition to Pickleball has been the funnest process I have pursued in my adult life. My coaching process is geared towards building the foundations of Pickleball for players of all levels, while maintaining laughter and having fun during the learning process. I am a huge proponent of filming shots to assess form, technique and positioning to maximize growth and understanding of various Pickleball strategies. I look forward to sharing some laughter with you as you grow into a higher level pickleballer!

Beginner training plan

Your first lessonForm, technique and positioning. Building good habits and breaking bad habits is essential. Utilizing various Pickleball drills and training strategies to build positive habits and foundational skills.

Lesson 11+Higher level drills, building upon all of the previous lesson teachings. Options to still record certain shots if form and positioning is still sub optimal. Options to train on the third shot drop, deep slice backhand serve return, dinking with topspin, ernie shots, fast-paced serves, directional serves, and much more.

Lesson 4-10Utilizing video recordings to break down form and technique. The physics of paddle positioning for various shots, as well as body mechanics to maximize proper form ensuring that each shot is strategic.

Lesson 2-3Building upon the teachings from lesson 1, starting more drills and mini games to solidify proper form, technique and positioning.

Youth players

Working with kidsAs a surf camp instructor for the youth, I am highly versed in the learning processes of kids. I keep it light and fun while also focusing on forming good habits that we can build off of.

Working with teenagersI have instructed teenagers at Cabrillo College, as well through private surf lessons and the Central Coast Waterman Camp. I tailor all of my lessons around positive Pickleball habits, form, technique and positioning.
