I had my first lesson with Allen yesterday. It was a great introduction to the sport. We went over Pickleball terms, game rules, hitting techniques, and playing strategies. We did several hitting and serving drills and finished up by playing a short game. Allen was very patient and encouraging throughout the entire lesson. At the end of the lesson Allen gave me drills to work on by myself and advised me how to find places to play against others at my beginner level. I’m hooked! Thank you, Allen! Super knowledgeable, explains/models body mechanics so well that he helped me fix my serve after 6 months of bad habits. Only one lesson and he packed it with really helpful instructions on body/paddle position at the kitchen, driving shots, the importance of staying low, hitting behind the ball & more! His energy is motivating & his positivity is encouraging. I’ve had a few other coaches where I live a couple hours away and he’s the best of them all!
