Beginner training plan
Your first lessonBasic rules and safety. Assess hand-eye co-ordination. Start with some basic drills to get them familiar with equipment.
Lesson 11+Should be comfortable playing the game at an intermediate level with similar level opponents and encouraged to play as many different players as possible.
Lesson 4-10With confidence building, increase the challenge of drills assessing areas for improvement for specific type of shots and fundamental techniques.
Lesson 2-3Introducing basic strategies and scoring followed by more practice drills and demonstrations. Talk about various types of shots typically used in the sport.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonEnsure they have the basic beginner skills and understanding of the sport. Introduce a specific skill and practice.
Lesson 11+Should be comfortable playing against 4.0+ players.
Lesson 4-10Almost completing challenging all focussed and high-level skills based training.
