Brian was great! He was very clear when explaining the rules. He was also great - and very patient - when teaching techniques. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to my next lesson with him.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLesson 1: Pickleball Basics & Serving In this lesson, you’ll learn the fundamental rules of pickleball, including how to keep score, the two-bounce rule, and court positioning. We’ll start with paddle control drills to build hand-eye coordination, then move into serving mechanics. You’ll practice the underhand serve, focusing on accuracy and consistency to get the ball in play. By the end of the lesson, you’ll understand how to start a point and be ready to rally!
Lesson 4-10Lesson 4: Playing Points & Strategy Now it’s time to bring everything together with real-game scenarios and strategy! We’ll start with a quick review of serving, returning, and dinking before playing practice points. You’ll learn how to read your opponent, place your shots strategically, and position yourself for success. By the end, you’ll be ready to jump into a game with confidence and enjoy everything pickleball has to offer! This approach makes the lessons sound engaging, structured, and beneficial, making them appealing to a potential client. Let me know if you’d like adjustments!
Lesson 2-3Lesson 2: Dinking & Net Play Today, we’ll focus on one of the most important skills in pickleball—dinking, a soft shot that keeps your opponent on defense. You’ll learn how to control your paddle angle, use proper footwork, and stay patient in a dink rally. We’ll also cover kitchen rules so you know when and where to step while playing at the net. By the end, you’ll feel more confident controlling the pace of the game and setting up winning shots! Lesson 3: Groundstrokes & Court Positioning In this lesson, we’ll work on your forehand and backhand groundstrokes, focusing on good technique, accuracy, and power. You’ll also learn how to move efficiently on the court, transitioning from baseline to the kitchen for better positioning. We’ll use drills to improve your consistency and placement, helping you keep rallies going. By the end, you’ll have stronger, more controlled shots and a better understanding of where to be on the court during a match.
