Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLet’s keep it simple: we’ll walk through the basic rules, scoring, and court layout. You’ll learn how to hold the paddle, what the kitchen is, and practice just making contact with the ball. No pressure — just getting comfortable and having fun!
Lesson 11+You’ve got the basics down — now it’s about getting reps and building confidence. We’ll play more full games, focusing on communication, movement, and having fun with real-time feedback. No need to be perfect — just learning through play and feeling more at home on the court each time.
Lesson 4-10Now that you’re comfortable on the court, we’ll work on putting it all together:
• Shot consistency
• Getting to the net
• Simple footwork
• How to play with a partner
Lesson 2-3We’ll practice short rallies (mostly dinking and serving), work on keeping the ball in play, and start to move a little more. You’ll learn how to return a serve, where to stand, and how to feel more confident with each shot. Lots of repetition, no overthinking.
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen I work with kids, I focus on making lessons fun, simple, and encouraging. We use games, movement-based drills, and lots of repetition to keep their energy up and build confidence. It’s not about perfection — my goal is to help them feel successful and excited to learn. I also make sure they’re staying safe and moving in a way that supports coordination, balance, and motor skills.
