Beginner training plan
Your first lessonStart by introducing the grip, ready position, and basic court layout in a simple, encouraging way. Then move into fun rally and serving drills focused on making contact and getting comfortable hitting the ball.
Lesson 11+By the end of their training plan, beginners will feel confident playing full games with a solid grasp of rules, positioning, and basic strategy. They’ll have consistent control over key shots like the serve, return, dink, volley, and third shot drop.
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4 through 6 focus on improving consistency with serves, dinks, volleys, and practicing the third shot drop in live drills. Lessons 7 through 10 introduce more gameplay, helping beginners develop court positioning, shot selection, and overall match awareness.
Lesson 2-3In the second lesson, beginners will work on dinking and volleys to build control and confidence at the net. By the third lesson, they’ll start learning footwork, partner movement, and be introduced to the third shot drop and basic gameplay strategy.
