Thanks for checking out my coach page - I’m stoked to help you develop your pickleball game! 🏓🔥 As for myself, I’m the founder of Side Out Coffee — The Official Coffee of Pickleball (sideoutcoffee.com) and an active 5.0 tournament player participating in all the major league tournament tracks from PPA, APP, MLP, WPT and more. Last year I competed in the USA Pickleball National Championships in Mesa, AZ as well as the MLP National Championship in Fenton, MO. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends but also teaching pickleball and growing the passion for the sport. I started playing pickleball just over a year ago, knowing pretty much nothing besides the fact that it looked fun. I was lucky enough to find Coach James Heldridge early on, and I can honestly say he’s the reason I’ve progressed from a total beginner to a solid 4.0 player. James has this incredible way of breaking things down so they actually make sense. He doesn’t just tell you what to do—he explains why you should do it, which helped me build a strong foundation instead of just copying what I saw better players doing. Whether it was footwork, shot selection, or strategy, he always had a way of making it click. What really sets James apart, though, is his patience and his ability to adapt his coaching to how you learn. There were plenty of times when I felt stuck, frustrated, or like I’d never get past a plateau, but he always had a way of getting me through it. He pushes you, but in a way that builds confidence instead of making you feel overwhelmed. Fast forward to today, and I’m competing at a 4.0 level, playing smarter and more confidently than I ever thought possible. If you’re serious about improving your game, James Heldridge is the guy to learn from. He’s not just a great coach—he’s a great person who genuinely cares about his students’ progress. I can’t recommend him enough!
