What you need to bringPlease wear shoes made for racquet sports meaning side-to-side movement. You can turn an ankle more quickly in running/walking shoes. If you don't have tennis or pickleball shoes for the first lesson, we can work with it. The more serious you get, sport specific shoes are highly recommended. Stay hydrated, bring water. You may want a hat or visor to help block the sun.

What I can bringI have all the equipment needed including extra paddles for pickleball.

I'm getting better at pickleball with John’s lesson, which focused on all points of the game, making it quite helpful. Though I still need to work on some areas, it’s encouraging to see real progress and I’m looking forward to applying what I learned in practice. If you're into honing your skills, I’d say definitely consider trying him out.

Great lesson!!

John is a great teacher. I was new to pickleball, although have played ping pong since I was a kid. He adjusted his teaching to fit what I was already able to do and focus on the new techniques I needed to learn. We moved all the way to a mock game in the first lesson and I felt like I was really getting a lot of the basics - including the semi-screwy scoring protocol. Throughout the lesson John was clued in to my own distinct skills, needs and interests.
