Very attentive and made sure that I grasp the concept of forehand and backhand. He explained pickleball terms from dinks, kitchen, volley, etc. At first I started off on the edge with hitting the pickleball and after a couple rounds I got a little better with my forehand/backhand. Overall I felt comfortable and informed.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonStart with the basics:
- How to use the continental grip
- ready position returning serve and in the no volley zone
- basic strokes including dinking, serving, forehands, backhands and volleys
-drilling on basic shots
-overview of rules and strategies at the beginner level
Lesson 11+It’s important to take an holistic view of the game; at any moment you may be required to hit a wide variety of shots from a serve to return of serve, from a dink to a volley, from a 3rd point drop that enables you to get to the kitchen, to an overhead smash to name a few.
Lesson 4-10Practice dinking, forehand and backhand drives, volleys and play at
the non volley zone line. Review rules and strategy of pickleball play.
Lesson 2-3Assessment of skills and areas where more practice is warranted. Play points to get a feel of elements of an open play game. Drill all aspects of the game with an emphasis areas which need improvement.
