Hello, I'm Phil. I'm straightforward and unafraid to be real. In pickleball, that means helping you shore up weaknesses and improve technically and strategically as easily and clearly as possible. I believe it's important to know "what" and "how", but also "why". My ideal is environment is one where we can learn something impactful and figure out how to implement it, all without unnecessary pressure. Before pickleball, I played 25 years of tennis and competed on a world class level in a variety of games. Let's get on the court!

Phil takes the time to analyze your strengths and weaknesses and develop customized training plans to help you improve your game. He goes above and beyond, spending extra time after lessons to work with you on insuring that you are making progress. His coaching is clear and effective. Phill does not hold back. Just when you think you are good, he humbly demonstrates how there is a lot of room for improvements to be made. Thank you Phil for your game strategy and technique wisdom!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonMy first lesson always involves warming up together, playing a little, and asking questions. What is your background with pickleball and other sports/games? What would you like to improve? Would you like me to suggest things to work on? Together, we can build a plan that addresses what you think your need are.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonMore advanced players often have specific things they want to practice or work on. Alternatively, we can play a little and I can give you my personal assessment and build a custom plan for you.
What you need to bringPaddles and water would be nice. I’ll have extras of everything.
What I can bringI can bring paddles, balls, and anything else you ask me ahead of time.
