About your pickleball coach

I have played Racket & paddle sports my entire life. I have taught pickleball to players of all ages and abilities, I have my own Pickleball court in my backyard as opposed to a crowded and loud PB center, so drilling students in a relaxed environment has been very beneficial focusing on technique, court strategy, footwork, and tailored enjoyable development plans per player needs. I speak Italian, conversational Spanish & English, so I can help with bilingual students as well. Let’s go play!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonAs with any sport where equipment is important, we always first teach the proper grip, paddle use and set up for hitting the various shots, then we move on to mobility on the court where I stress what you can do vs. what you want to do and drill accordingly, then we move on to other parts of the game as we progress together. You help decide how fast we progress by your interest, desire to learn and realistic Athletic ability. And I stress having fun at all levels as the sport can and should be social, we are not going to play on the PB circuit. We want to be competitive and have fun as we get in better physical condition with each lesson.
Lesson 2-3As we move on, Learning this game is like building a strong foundation for a house. So in subsequent lessons we keep moving forward only after learning the first skills and becoming proficient, then we move to the next level (Ground strokes, serving, understanding kitchen play, resets and drop shots and why we must learn these skills etc.)
Lesson 4-10At this point we are drilling already with you every session depending on your strengths and weaknesses , I want you to have access to every shot in the game. I do not teach anyone to run around their back hand because they feel uncomfortable, we drill enough until you feel you can do it all.
Lesson 11+At this point we are understanding the game fully and using proper shots to play anyone at our level. Provided that you are playing and practicing in between our sessions, You should definitely be learning all basic strategy, IE. where to hit the ball when we are at the base line, how to get to the kitchen playing net volleys or facing hard drives or drop shots. We are in full game mode.

What you need to bringBring The proper equipment, paddle shoes and water . if we’re playing outdoors, highly recommend hat and sun gear. But most importantly, bring a positive attitude and a willing to learn and exercise.

What I can bringI can provide practice balls, teaching aids and I do have my own court where I can teach.
