I've also competed in pickleball tournaments and have developed solid skills, particularly in dinking and technique. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWork on holding the paddle, and learning the basics of the game: score, forehand, backhand, dinks, serve.
Lesson 11+finally we will work on more advanced game play, like spins, slices, and lobs on the court, and guided game play.
Lesson 4-10We will work on technique and strategies to help win the point, third shot drop, dinks, spikes, and placement shots, along with working on consistency.
Lesson 2-3We will work on getting a consistent serve, and working on improving backhands and forehands, along with understanding game play and rules.
Youth players
Working with kidsI love working with kids, and have taught kids pickleball in the past. We will work first by just understanding the sport and doing some fun pickleball games, along with teaching about form and technique. I always try to uplift them and push them to have a positive mindset and a good attitude about the game!
Working with teenagersWhile working with teenagers, we will focus first on baseline skill, and then work on advanced drills to tone in their skill, while fostering a motivating and encouraging environment.
What you need to bringI have 5 extra paddles, but if you prefer your own, you’re more than welcome to!
