About your sciences tutor

I have 16 years experience as a college chemistry professor, with a MS from the University of Notre Dame. I have taught General Chemistry I and II, as well as organic chemistry lab and forensic science on a regular basis. I have also worked as a private tutor for 20 years to students ranging from middle school through college to students of all ability levels. I love tutoring because it allows me to really connect with an individual student while helping them achieve subject mastery.

Your first tutoringI begin by asking questions about what your goals are for the sessions. We then come up with a plan on how to get you to your goals.
Tutoring 2-3We will work together. I will ask questions to assess your knowledge and then teach or work on problems with you as needed.
Tutoring 4-10Our relationship will strengthen. I will have a sense of your learning style and needs and can tailor our work together to help you to reach your goals.

I had used Laura’s tutoring services for almost 8 months, and I can safely say that she helped me keep my chem grade in top shape.
