824.1 miles awayCarol Piro is a lifelong vocalist, performer, and healer with over three decades of experience creating and leading music projects across a wide range of genres—including pop, R&B, blues, rock, classic and swing jazz, world, and soul. Known for her deeply soulful expression and warm, grounded stage presence, Carol has captivated audiences both as a lead singer and harmony vocalist. Carol’s musical journey began early, inspired by her father’s joyful singing and lively performances on the Cordovox at family gatherings. Her vocal training started in high school, where she sang in the all-school choir, madrigal ensemble, regional choirs, and musical theatre productions. In 1996, Carol co-founded her original band Third Sister, which went on to share stages with artists such as Bo Bice (American Idol), G.E. Smith (Saturday Night Live Band), Rick Derringer, Renee Austin, and Murali Coryell. The band earned the Connecticut Gold Coast Award for Top Band in 2000 and released an original album in 2001. In the years following through today, Carol has been fronting a variety of band projects from sultry soul/jazz/R&B duos and trios to a full swing jazz band. Parallel to her music career, Carol has spent over 30 years as a professional healer and coach, specializing in soul trauma recovery, breathwork, and voice empowerment. Her work incorporates sound healing, vocal toning, and emotional release techniques. In 2019, she toured nationally with her sound meditation event Crystal Soul Sounds as well as her world-soul duo Christian & Carolina. In 2022, Carol turned her focus to vocal coaching—combining her deep healing background with contemporary vocal technique to help singers grow not just in skill, but in confidence, authenticity, and joy. She has trained with Voicercise Studio (Tampa, FL) and the Contemporary Voice Teachers Academy (Los Angeles), and now works virtually with singers of all levels—from beginners and karaoke lovers to emerging performers. For Carol, voice work is more than just singing—it’s a transformational path of self-discovery and soul expression. Her mission is to help every singer uncover the voice that’s been waiting to be heard—strong, beautiful, and fully their own—in a space that’s safe, intuitive, and deeply empowering.
