Beginner training plan
Your first lessonHi, thank you so much for considering Natural Note Music Lessons. Our first lesson usually goes a little something like this; no matter what your instrument is, I always love to get to know my students and their musical background and of course your goals. After that this is when we test the waters; voice students we will run through vocal warm ups to test range, pitch, vocal agility and so much more. Piano students will learn simple scales and learn the directional awareness of a piano and how it works!
Lesson 11+At this point, we should be ready for performances! I am one of the cofounders of Neighborhood Music Hour Recitals here in Carlsbad. We offered two performance opportunities every year!
Lesson 4-10By then we should be fairly adjusted, continue to bring your piano adventure book and or your lyric sheet and notebook! Our lessons will continue in this fashion and remember practice makes permanent!
Lesson 2-3Vocal students every lesson will begin with a seven minute warm-up then move into a song that makes you feel most comfortable to get you adjusted! Piano students you will need your piano adventure book and notebook for all your notes, there’s lots!
What you need to bringIf you are piano or ukulele student, please bring your piano adventure book along with your chord sheet. If you are a vocal student, please print out your lyrics to the song you are assigned and of course, potential song options you would like to sing!
