Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will learn basic vocal skills warm ups and spend time discussing what kind of music you like and your personal vocal goals. Afterward we will choose a song together that you are comfortable with and work through the basics of breaking down and song using vocal techniques.
Lesson 11+You get to decide the direction your lessons will take. I will always insist on proper technique and placement but what kind of music and what direction we go will be led by you.
Lesson 4-10Our focus will be on getting your voice to a place where you can practice on your own and understand what techniques are necessary for building vocal ability and strength.
Lesson 2-3We will start building a repertoire. Learn the basics of breathing and control.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonIf you’re already well versed in technique and placement then given your area of interest I will assess and evaluate what needs to be corrected and expanded upon.
Lesson 11+More or less of the same! As we grow together you will become stronger and more confident. The work will get more specific and more intense but the focus will always be on a healthy, strong and sustainable voice.
Lesson 4-10Once we have worked towards a stronger foundation going forward I will push you to the best of your vocal abilities. We will spend at least an hour a week on one song only perfecting diction, placement, breathing and support. This will be specific to the song and its unique requirements with range and vowel placements.
Lesson 2-3We will work with your existing repertoire to fine tune and hone in on gaps that have yet to be addressed. The main focus should be dynamics and proper placement.
Youth players
Working with kidsI will always meet a student where they are at developmental and vocally. We will grow together using what they like and where they want to go!
Working with teenagersIf the focus is getting into college for anything music based we will center the lessons around building a strong book of audition pieces as well as perfecting vocal techniques.
What you need to bringJust themselves and their voice we will figure out the rest together. I will put together a personalized lesson plan for each student depending on their goals and abilities.
What I can bringI can bring either a guitar or for at home lessons prefer the family to have a keyboard / piano.
