Beginner training plan
Your first trainingEvery player begins with a Player Assessment. We’ll discuss your soccer experience, goals, and areas you’d like to improve before evaluating your technical skills, movement, coordination, and soccer IQ. This assessment establishes a baseline, identifies strengths and opportunities for growth, and allows me to develop a personalized training plan. You’ll leave with clear feedback, achievable goals, and exercises to continue improving between sessions.
Training 2-3Using the assessment as our foundation, we’ll focus on one or two priority areas while reinforcing strong technical fundamentals. Training may include ball mastery, dribbling, passing, receiving, first touch, shooting, defending, and the four pillars of player development. If identified as a need or goal, we may also incorporate agility, strength and conditioning, and proper body mechanics. As players gain confidence, we’ll introduce decision-making, scanning, and game-realistic challenges that help transfer skills into match situations.
Training 4-10As players progress, sessions become more individualized and increasingly game-realistic. Technical skills are reinforced while introducing greater speed, pressure, and tactical awareness. Training emphasizes confidence, decision-making, movement off the ball, and applying skills effectively in match situations. Progress is reviewed regularly, and the training plan evolves as the player develops.
Training 11+Long-term development is guided by each player’s goals. Whether preparing for recreational soccer, club soccer, school teams, or the next level of competition, training continues to evolve through advanced technical development, position-specific training, improved soccer IQ, and performing confidently under pressure. My goal is to help every player become a more confident, well-rounded soccer player while developing a lifelong love of the game.

Advanced training plan
Your first trainingEvery player begins with a Player Assessment. We’ll discuss your playing experience, competitive level, goals, position, and areas you’d like to improve before evaluating your technical ability, movement, athleticism, soccer IQ, and position-specific skills. This assessment establishes a baseline, identifies strengths and opportunities for growth, and allows me to develop a personalized training plan. You’ll leave with clear feedback, measurable goals, and recommendations to continue improving between sessions.
Training 2-3Using the assessment as our foundation, we’ll focus on one or two priority areas while refining advanced technical skills and position-specific abilities. Training may include first touch under pressure, passing accuracy, finishing, defending, aerial play, speed of play, and tactical decision-making. If identified as a need or goal, sessions may also incorporate agility, strength and conditioning, and proper body mechanics. Training is designed to maximize performance by helping players execute consistently in match situations.
Training 4-10As players progress, training becomes increasingly demanding and game-realistic. Sessions emphasize technical execution at game speed, performing under pressure, tactical awareness, movement on and off the ball, and position-specific responsibilities. Progress is reviewed regularly, and the training plan evolves to challenge the player while preparing them for higher levels of competition.
Training 11+Long-term development is guided by each player’s goals. Whether preparing for club, high school, college, or higher levels of competition, training continues to evolve through advanced technical development, position-specific training, improved soccer IQ, and confident performance under pressure. When appropriate, training may also incorporate match analysis, video review, or other performance tools to support continued growth. My goal is to help every player maximize their potential while developing a lifelong love of the game.

Youth players
Working with kidsEvery child develops at their own pace. I believe young players learn best when they’re challenged, supported, and having fun. Lessons use age-appropriate games and activities tailored to each player’s ability, helping them build technical skills, coordination, confidence, soccer IQ, and a lifelong love of the game.

Working with teenagersTeenage players are encouraged to take greater ownership of their development. Lessons are tailored to each athlete’s experience, goals, and aspirations—whether they are preparing for club soccer, high school, college, or simply want to become a better player. Training develops technical ability, tactical understanding, confidence, and decision-making while ensuring players continue to enjoy the game and build a lifelong love of soccer.

What you need to bringPlease bring soccer cleats or turf shoes (depending on the training location), shin guards, a properly inflated soccer ball, plenty of water, weather-appropriate athletic clothing, and a positive attitude. Goalkeepers should bring goalkeeper gloves. Arrive 5–10 minutes early, ready to work hard, ask questions, and have fun.

What I can bringI provide soccer balls, cones, agility equipment, small goals (when appropriate), pinnies, goalkeeper training equipment, and other training aids. Sessions are customized based on the player’s position and goals. Players are welcome to bring any personal equipment they’d like to incorporate into training.

We have three kids with very different skill levels, and Coach Austin did an amazing job keeping each of them engaged. Our boys were each challenged appropriately had their own individual development plan. Being able to train the kids together with Coach Austin allowed a shared love of the game in our house to grow this summer. My boys have a new confidence going into their fall season!
Ben
Coach Austin challenged my son every session while keeping training enjoyable. The drills were game-like and focused on skills he could immediately use in matches. I especially appreciated the feedback and the emphasis on soccer IQ, not just technical ability.
Brittney
Our daughter wanted position-specific goalkeeper training, and Coach Austin delivered. He broke techniques down into simple steps and helped her become much more confident coming off her line and making decisions. We would highly recommend him to any goalkeeper.
Harper
My daughter and some of her teammates wanted to do some private lessons together. Coach Austin quickly recognized each child’s strengths and areas for improvement. Even though they trained together, every player received individual feedback and coaching. We noticed improvements in confidence, technical skills, and decision-making after just a few sessions.
Emily
The individual attention made a big difference. Coach Austin quickly identified areas my daughter needed to improve and created sessions specifically for her. Her first touch, confidence on the ball, and decision-making improved noticeably. She looked forward to every lesson.
Jess
Every drill had a purpose and looked like something our daughter would actually face during a match. After several sessions, she was more composed in 1v1 situations, finished more chances, and made better decisions in the final third. Her club and school coaches are also glad we got her into extra lessons!
