Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson is mainly to see where you are as a player and from that I’ll determine what level of drills we go from here on out. We always warm up passing to each other from about 10ft 100x each foot to get your body used to passing. If you know how to juggle we will juggle the ball, 1 touch, 2 touch, progression touch 1, then 2, then 3, etc, specialized juggling; right foot to left knee back with left foot, things of that matter to focus on control. If you can’t juggle I will teach you how to fairly quickly. Then we will pass to each other with movement and game like intensity as we progress while taking shots at goal from different areas of the field to get you more comfortable with shooting from different spots. Then we will focus on dribbling and how to dribble into space with confidence and change of speed. I have specialized drills to help you increase your confidence on the ball while dribbling. Then we will go on to 1v1 at first playing with no score to get you used to playing with me. I will match your energy but with a lil more to make sure you are getting better and as you get better I will continue to increase my intensity. Then we will play games to 5. Lastly will run down the field and take shots on goal.
Lesson 11+I would like to have some sort of evaluation and ask you if you truly feel like I am getting to your goals faster. What I mainly want you to get good at is having confidence with the ball and that will come mostly from dribbling and 1v1, shooting is secondary, it is important don’t get me wrong but you are dribbling and passing way more than your shooting. You can work on shooting but make sure you’re good enough on the ball while you dribble so you can even take the shot. If you can’t dribble well you will never get a shot on goal in the higher leagues
