Beginner training plan
Your first trainingIntroduce each other, talk about their strengths and weaknesses, what they feel they need to work on most, what are their goals and what do they want to get out these trainings. Have them go through the basics so I can see where they are at.
Training 2-3Take them through some drills, monitoring what they need to work on most
Training 4-10Continue working on the things they may need to work on most, but also pushing them to try new skills, and build real confidence on the field
Training 11+Take them to their next level and push them each day to be better. Helping them grow and build confidence to be the player they know they can become.
Advanced training plan
Your first trainingIntroduce each other, talk about their strengths and weaknesses, what they feel they need to work on most, what are their goals and what do they want to get out these trainings. Have them go through the basics so I can see where they are at. Also see what their goals are with the sport, how far are they willing to go, how much work are they willing to
Training 2-3Take them through more advanced trainings and see where their weaknesses are and attack them head on to build growth
Training 4-10Continue on with working on their goals and the smaller details to really build up their confidence to bring them to that next level
Training 11+Polish off anything that may still need work and get them ready to get to their highest potential.
Youth players
Working with kidsI make sure they are comfortable with me and have a good relationship with me. Forming trust with my players I know it’s hard for kids to trust right away so I’d like to build that with them, eventually bringing them out of their shell and building confidence on the field!
Working with teenagersSimilar to working with kids is like to build trust and have a good dynamic with my players. Hearing them out and allowing them the freedom to tell me how they feel and what they would like to get out of our trainings. And of course to build their confidence. At this age confidence becomes very important on the field
