Beginner training plan
Your first trainingI like to go over the basic fundamentals, footwork for all positions, dribbling for field players, and handling for goalkeepers.
Training 2-3A beginner can expect to learn slightly elevated tactics (ex. striking the ball properly or diving for a GK)
Training 4-10A beginner will begin to harness and display the fundamentals in more complex drills.
Training 11+They can expect to apply the skills they have learned in sessions 1-10 to more advanced topics, such as finesse vs. power shooting or extension dives for GKs.
Youth players
Working with kidsI have the most experience working with kids and teenagers, so I adapt a session to be more basic and fun depending on the age range and experience level I’m working with.
