Hi! I’m Luka Lukic, a soccer player from Belgrade, Serbia with experience at the highest levels of college soccer. I started my college career at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, where I was named a 2021 NAIA First Team All-American. I then transferred to the University of California, Riverside (NCAA Division I), where I won the 2022 Big West regular season and conference tournament and earned Second Team All-Big West honors. I’m now committed to UC Berkeley, where I’ll be playing my final year in the ACC. I’m an enthusiastic and extremely technical coach whose background speaks for itself. I bring high energy, elite-level knowledge, and a sharp focus on individual development. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI start by getting to know the player—what their goals are, how much experience they have, and what they’re hoping to get out of training. Then we go over the basic soccer terminology and familiarize them with the soccer ball, including simple touches to build comfort and confidence.
Lesson 11+By this point, players are confident with the ball. They begin warm-ups on their own using a set pattern, showing their growing independence. We focus on more advanced ball work, including small-sided games, combination play, and situational decision-making. The goal is to build fluidity, creativity, and readiness for real match scenarios.
Lesson 4-10At this stage, we work on getting more comfortable with the ball. We start combining skills learned so far in more dynamic drills. Players practice sequences like pass-dribble-shoot, learn positioning, and start reading the game with basic decision-making drills.
Lesson 2-3These lessons focus on the foundational principles: passing, dribbling, and shooting. We introduce fun, low-pressure drills to help build coordination and understanding of each skill in isolation.
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids, I keep lessons fun, energetic, and game-based. I use simple language and visual demonstrations, and I focus on building coordination and comfort with the ball through playful drills. Positive encouragement is key, and I make sure every session ends on a high note to keep their love for the game growing.
Working with teenagersWhen working with teenagers, I focus on preparing them for the next level—both technically and mentally. Sessions are more structured and challenging, with advanced drills, game-like situations, and position-specific training. I also work on mindset, discipline, communication, and leadership, helping them build the confidence and mental toughness needed to succeed at the college level.
