Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will focus on juggling, throw-ins, shooting, trapping the ball with the foot, penalty kicks, goal-keeping drill of picking up the ball successfully , and a fun game at the end!
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2-3 may focus on learning dribbling moves, taking corner kicks, shooting volleys / half-volleys, chest traps, goalie drills releasing / throwing the ball down the field, and a fun-filled game at the end!
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-10 might include endurance training, goal kick placement, free kicks, dribble and shooting drills, goalie drills covering the mouth of the goal and both goal posts, along with an engaging game to end the sessions.
Lesson 11+Leasons 11+ will consist of learning a variety of shots to take on goal and improving their overall soccer intelligence during a match. These sessions will also be a review of previous sessions but looking to improve on power, precision, and the ability to receive passes based on various touches. Each session will conclude with a fun game hopefully reinforces the love of the game!
Youth players
Working with kidsI feel that I can adapt to teaching any age level, especially beginners. I definitely try to teach all aspects of the game so that the players can succeed on the pitch when their season starts. I aim to focus on all of the fundamentals of the game with the focus on “fun” throughout!
Working with teenagersI feel that I can help teenagers learn the game by showing them different ways to dribble, along with learning how to shoot various shots. I also try to teach all the possible scenarios that may arise during the soccer games so that they can flow seamlessly into the course of any soccer game!
What you need to bringThe players will need to bring cleats, a water bottle, and a soccer ball. Goalie gloves are optional.
What I can bringI have mini goals, ladders, hurdles, numerous cones, soccer balls, and other equipment to coordinate practice sessions.
