I grew up playing soccer as a youth and our teams won two state championships along the way. In high school, I helped our team win bidistrict as a senior while going 4 for 4 on penalty kicks along the way. In college, I played one season at the University of Texas-Pan American (now UTRGV). Currently I have been a recreational soccer coach for three years. It’s my passion to blend positivity along with a fun-filled approach to coaching players! I am looking forward to sharing my enthusiasm of soccer with the next generation! In addition, I am also SafeSport and CPR certified! In addition, I am in the process of becoming a soccer referee in the next two months! This will allow me to stay current on any rule changes for example! Lastly, there is flexibility in my scheduling, so if a certain time doesn’t work for you, I’ll definitely do my best to work it out for us!

Accomplishments
➕My teams have had four out of eight winning seasons. The other season we won as many games as we lost. My highlight is watching players progress during the season while getting multiple touches on the ball or being stellar as a goalie by making great saves and distributing the ball. Overall I just enjoy watching players having fun playing the beautiful game of soccer!

Coach Peter Golleck has been our coach for two seasons of 8-10 year old boys. He is always encouraging with a positive attitude, works hard teaching soccer drills, has excellent communication, and promotes fantastic sportsmanship! He has done a really great job putting together end of season parties with excellent awards exemplifying each player’s strengths. He is always providing a fun and productive learning atmosphere for kids and provided healthy hydrating snacks during games. He is always prepared early for practice and willing stay late for extra reps for any player who wanted to participate. He brought out the best in players both physically and in spirit. He welcomes players of various skill level. Please consider Coach Peter for this position, as he is a wonderful soccer coach and role model for players! He’s a 5 Star rating!

Peter Golleck is a Fantastic Coach on the pitch and person in life. He is responsive to parents, punctual to matches, and is eager to coach kids of all levels. His patience is matched by his love for the game, and his ability to team build with these kids is inspiring. Our son was new to playing soccer and shy to boot, but Coach Golleck was able to get him more confident on the pitch and in front of spectators. Before we knew it he was making moves we never thought he could and it made us so happy. Peter is Awesome and highly recommended. 5 stars from my wife and I.

Coach Golleck was my son's first soccer Coach. He always had a positive attitude and focused on teamwork and good sportsmanship. He also had a fun way to introduce new soccer drills and exercises to the kids. My son always looked forward to practice!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will focus on juggling, throw-ins, shooting, trapping the ball with the foot, penalty kicks, goal-keeping drill of picking up the ball successfully , and a fun game at the end!
Lesson 11+Leasons 11+ will consist of learning a variety of shots to take on goal and improving their overall soccer intelligence during a match. These sessions will also be a review of previous sessions but looking to improve on power, precision, and the ability to receive passes based on various touches. Each session will conclude with a fun game hopefully reinforces the love of the game!
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-10 might include endurance training, goal kick placement, free kicks, dribble and shooting drills, goalie drills covering the mouth of the goal and both goal posts, along with an engaging game to end the sessions.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2-3 may focus on learning dribbling moves, taking corner kicks, shooting volleys / half-volleys, chest traps, goalie drills releasing / throwing the ball down the field, and a fun-filled game at the end!
Youth players
Working with kidsI feel that I can adapt to teaching any age level, especially beginners. I definitely try to teach all aspects of the game so that the players can succeed on the pitch when their season starts. I aim to focus on all of the fundamentals of the game with the focus on “fun” throughout!
Working with teenagersI feel that I can help teenagers learn the game by showing them different ways to dribble, along with learning how to shoot various shots. I also try to teach all the possible scenarios that may arise during the soccer games so that they can flow seamlessly into the course of any soccer game!
What you need to bringThe players will need to bring cleats, a water bottle, and a soccer ball. Goalie gloves are optional.
What I can bringI have mini goals, ladders, hurdles, numerous cones, soccer balls, and other equipment to coordinate practice sessions.
