Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFocus: Ball familiarity, basic dribbling techniques
Activities: Freeze dribble, cone dribbling, obstacle course
Goal: Learn to control the ball with both feet and build confidence
Lesson 11+Focus: Basic team strategy, positioning, and roles
Activities: Small-sided games, 3v3/4v4 matches, teamwork challenges
Goal: Reinforce earlier skills in real-game situations and introduce simple tactics
Lesson 4-10Focus: Correct shooting form and power control
Activities: Target shooting, dribble and shoot, penalty kicks
Goal: Understand where to strike the ball and when to shoot
Lesson 2-3Focus: Proper passing technique and first touch
Activities: Partner passing drills, passing through gates, small-group passing games
Goal: Improve accuracy, control, and communication with teammates
What you need to bringStudents should come prepared with proper soccer attire, including cleats, shin guards, athletic clothing, and a refillable water bottle. I also recommend they bring a soccer ball (size appropriate for their age group), sunscreen for outdoor sessions, and a positive attitude ready to learn and work as a team
What I can bringI can bring a range of essential soccer coaching equipment, including cones, agility ladders, training bibs, soccer balls, portable goals, and a first aid kit. I also have a tactical whiteboard and access to digital tools for planning sessions and analyzing performance. If needed, I can bring additional training aids like resistance bands and hurdles to support
