Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is all about getting a sense of where the player is and where to go from there!
We will do a simple warm up without the ball, and then some foundational ball skills warm-ups and drills. Toward the end, the student will take some shots on goal. Throughout the process I’ll be asking about the player’s experiences in the sport, which parts of the drills feel comfortable/uncomfortable, what their team is like, and about the coaches they’ve had leading up to the present and how they’ve felt toward them.
Then I’ll go over the strengths, struggles, and unique qualities I observed during the session with the parents and what will be the best approach for their child’s overall development in the sport.

Youth players
Working with kidsThis will be about opening the kids mind to the bigger picture of the game while also expanding their proficiency with a base set of ball skills and movement. All while building confidence and setting the stage for good habits both as a soccer player and overall athlete in a manner that involves all the fun and silliness that childhood can never have enough of!
